Psychology Week 2015 8th-14th November

National Psychology week is organized by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and aims to increase public awareness of how psychology can help people and communities lead healthier, happier and more meaningful lives.

Psychology Week 2015 comprises events across Australia, a media and social media campaign, a wellbeing survey and the release of a range of resources that help Australians manage stress, improve their wellbeing and achieve a healthier lifestyle.

Annually, the APS conducts a survey to help understand the factors impacting the wellbeing of Australians. Since 2011, the APS has been conducting its Stress and Wellbeing Survey. In 2015, the survey will have a special focus on social media and its effect on the health, wellbeing and behaviour of Australians.

So this week may be the perfect time to address the stress that may be in your life and begin to increase ways to manage that stress more effectively or reduce it where possible.

Look out for the free information and resources that will be available or it may be the right time to engage with a psychologist to help with the process towards a healthier, happier, and more meaningful life!
