When we reflect on our lives and what is really important to us, it is often the relationships with our loved ones that we identify as the most important thing in our lives. However, we can have an expectation that because we love someone the relationship should just work.
The experience of anger is normal. However for some people their anger is excessive in frequency and duration, and is disproportionate to the event or person who may have triggered it.
Substance abuse occurs when a substance creates problems in our lives. What began as a way to have fun or to avoid things in our life can somehow take over our lives and restrict our choices.
Assertiveness is a communication style. It is being able to express your
feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and opinions in an open manner that is clear and respects your own needs and the needs of others.
Grief And Loss
Grief is a normal feeling that we experience as a response to loss. It is an incredibly powerful emotion, which is often accompanied by feelings of shock, anger, sadness, guilt and remorse.
Having sufficient sleep is an important factor in our health and mental well-being. Not sleeping well can contribute to mood swings, becoming irritated and having a very low frustration tolerance.
How we feel and think about ourselves effects how we behave. If we get in a pattern of thinking in a negative way, especially about ourselves, it can have a huge impact on our well-being.
